Brooklyn Half Marathon

A HUGE shout out to everyone who ran or donated to 2017's Brooklyn Half Marathon team! A record year - we raised over $28,000! Our running team – a mix of staff, board members, and friends – ran 13.1 tough miles (and the hundred+ miles of training it took to get there!) to show their support for a cause that matters to them and their community.

Every year they run because refugees facing deportation deserve competent representation, regardless of whether they can afford a private attorney. And, because 13.1 miles is nothing compared to the thousands that refugees travel fleeing persecution to seek protection in the United States.

Brooklyn Half Marathon

A big shout out to everyone who ran or donated to last May’s Brooklyn Half Marathon team! Together we raised nearly $14,000! Our running team – a mix of staff, board members, and friends – ran 13.1 tough miles (and the hundred+ miles of training it took to get there!) to show their support for a cause that matters to them and their community.

They ran because refugees facing deportation deserve competent representation, regardless of whether they can afford a private attorney. And, because 13.1 miles is nothing compared to the thousands that refugees travel fleeing persecution to seek protection in the United States.

Thanks to a generous donation from Greenberg Traurig, LLP, Team CALA runners that raised over $100 had their race registration fee reimbursed!
